Day 1: Welcome to the Enchanting Cusco and Majestic Machu Picchu by Train

We will pick you up at Cusco’s international airport.  Cusco is the heart of the Inca Empire, where history and culture intertwine like a mesmerizing dance. Our journey takes us to the ancient Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, before embarking on a scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to the awe-inspiring wonder of Machu Picchu. We will spend the night in Aguas Calientes.

Day 2: Explore Machu Picchu

After Breakfast, our expert guides will take us on a journey of wonder through the mystical aura of Machu Picchu, where every stone tells a story of a fascinating past. After a memory full day, we will take ride the train back to to Ollantaytambo.  Our private transportation will take you back to your Hotel Cusco for a rest.

Guided Tour: 3 Hours

Optional Activity. Climb Wayna Picchu. There are just 400 visitors allowed per day. You have to book the entrance in advance to ensure your entrance.

Machu Picchu Tickets: With the recent regulations of the National Institute belonging to the Peruvian government, the Machu Picchu entrance tickets go on sale from 6.00 am to 3.00 pm.

Wayna Pichu Tickets: With the recent regulations of the National Institute, belonging to the Peruvian government, the Wayna Picchu tickets go on sale from 7.00 am until 10:00 to 11:000 am. The hike Will take 45 minutes up and 30 minutes down the way. The step is not recommendable for people who have vertigo.

Day 3: Embark on the Vibrant Quest of Rainbow Mountain ( Vinikunka Mountain)

Prepare for an adrenaline-pumping expedition to the unparalleled allure of Rainbow Mountain, a geological gem boasting an extravagant display of kaleidoscopic hues, as if nature herself were a bold artist. Trek through this stunning panorama of vibrant colors, a rare sight that will be vividly imprinted in your mind. Reaching the summit, be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of the sprawling Andean landscape.

Your exclusive journey begins with your private guide arriving at your hotel promptly at 3:00 am. Buckle up for a three-hour scenic drive to the quaint community of Quisiuno, perched at an impressive altitude of 4600 meters (14,600 ft) in the south of Cusco. 

Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Andean landscape and pass by local farms cultivating crops like corn, quinoa, potatoes, and an assortment of vegetables. Keep an eye out for the delightful South American camels, Llamas, and Alpacas, as they roam freely in these higher altitudes, adding an extra touch of charm to your journey.

Before the hiking adventure commences, you’ll indulge in a hearty breakfast, fueling up for the incredible experience ahead. The ascent will begin gradually, and over 2.5 hours, you’ll find yourself reaching the pinnacle of a true marvel – the captivating Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vininkunka, standing proudly at an impressive 5000 meters (15,900 ft) above sea level. 

Take a moment to bask in the kaleidoscope of colors that adorn this majestic mountain and relish the opportunity to witness the highest peak in the Cusco Region – the awe-inspiring Ausangate, soaring to a towering height of 6,400 meters (20,300 ft).

After ample free time to savor the beauty of Rainbow Mountain, you’ll embark on a two-hour descent, retracing your steps back to Quesiuno. Here, amid the magnificent views of the Villcanota mountain range, you’ll be treated to a delicious box lunch, ensuring a satisfying end to this unforgettable journey.

The trekking time amounts to approximately 5 to 6 hours, encompassing a moderate hike in terms of altitude, with a shift from 4600 meters to 5000 meters. Rest assured, any adjustments to the itinerary or departure time can be effortlessly arranged to accommodate your preferences.

DAY 4:  Humantay Lagoon:  A beautiful turquoise color lagoon located just under the Humantay Glacier

Experience the serene beauty of Humantay Lagoon, cradled beneath the towering Humantay Glacier, like a hidden gem amidst the rugged terrain. Let the tranquil turquoise waters soothe your soul as you bask in the awe-inspiring presence of the majestic Andean peaks. 

We will depart early, whisked away by private transportation for an exhilarating journey of 3 hours and 30 minutes, leading us to Soraypampa, standing tall at 3900 meters above sea level. From here, the real exploration begins as we begin our ascent, a two-hour climb to the crown jewel – the Humantay Lagoon. Our expert guide will ensure you capture the best shots, revealing picture-perfect spots to immortalize this natural wonder. Allow yourself to soak up the positive energy from the lagoon, a haven that beckons meditation and yoga retreats, the perfect sanctuary to rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul.

After immersing in the wonders of Humantay Lagoon, we return to Soraypampa, a delightful journey of 1 hour and 30 minutes, where a delectable lunch awaits. Savor the flavors while surrounded by the awe-inspiring Andean landscape, relishing the memories of this extraordinary escapade.

As the sun begins to set, we bid adieu to this paradise and embark on our journey back to Cusco, where the comfort of your hotel awaits, a haven to rest and dream of the unforgettable day that unfolded amidst the splendor of Humantay Lagoon.

DAY 5: Farewell Peru

Say farewell to the enchanting wonders of Peru, cherishing the indelible mark this expedition has left in your travel journal. Reflect upon the diverse landscapes and cultural treasures that graced your path during this unforgettable adventure. 

The transportation team will take you from your hotel to Cusco’s Airport and it will be scheduled around your departure time so you have time to explore Cusco on your own.

Flights: Flights to Cusco are not included. Cancellations and delays occur often; we recommend your trip and arrival in the city of Cusco two days before the start of the service. The most reliable airline is LAN Peru. Avianca and others are acceptable companies.
